O escritor paraibano, ainda em vida, j\u00e1 havia sido apresentado \u00e0 ideia de fazer um novo filme com os queridos personagens Jo\u00e3o Grilo e Chic\u00f3. Contudo, foi apenas recentemente, h\u00e1 mais ou menos tr\u00eas anos, que a fam\u00edlia do escritor aprovou a ideia. O filho do autor, Manuel Dantas Suassuna,\u00a0 foi quem revelou em entrevista essas informa\u00e7\u00f5es dos bastidores.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo Manuel, a fam\u00edlia de Ariano foi envolvida em todo o processo de tirar do papel a ideia de fazer uma continua\u00e7\u00e3o do filme. Ele conta que Guel Arraes (diretor) e Ariano Suassuna conversaram sobre uma sequ\u00eancia tempos depois do lan\u00e7amento do primeiro filme. No entanto, isso acabou n\u00e3o acontecendo. Mas o diretor do filme voltou a conversar com a fam\u00edlia do escritor sobre o assunto.<\/p>\n<p>Como este \u00e9 um dos textos mais populares com a assinatura original de Suassuna, a autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da fam\u00edlia foi dada ap\u00f3s muita discuss\u00e3o e an\u00e1lise, conta Manuel, que \u00e9 artista pl\u00e1stico.
